This safari covers the Masai Mara and Naivasha. Masai Mara is situated in south-west Kenya and is one of seven wonders of the modern world. Together with the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania it forms Africa's most diverse, incredible and most spectacular eco-systems and possibly the world's top safari big game viewing eco-system. We visit Elsamere the former home of the late Joy Adamson who, together with her husband George, became world famous for their pioneering conservation work and relationship with the Lioness Elsa, as told in her best-selling book and subsequent film: Born Free. After lunch we take a boat ride to Crescent Island. Many different types of animals are found in the Island as we take a walk with the expert resident naturalist. Giraffes, waterbucks, wildebeest, Gazelles, Impala, Dikdiks can be seen during the walk.

DAY 1
NAIROBI-ARRIVAL:

Our team will meet and transfer you from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to your Nairobi hotel.

DAY 2
NAIROBI –NAIVASHA:

After breakfast at our hotel we depart by road for Lake Naivasha. Our accommodations are located right by Lake Naivasha, a fresh water lake. DAY 3
LAKE NAIVASHA-MASAI MARA:

This morning we drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Lunch at our Lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon game run. Note that Masai Mara is one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see. Residents among them are: Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousands of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson’s and grants Gazelles.

DAY 4
EXPLORE MASAI MARA:

The search for great predators and perhaps even cubs continues today during extensive game runs. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs. During our stay we also have an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Masai people (at an extra cost) to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience.

DAY 5
MASAI MARA –NAIROBI:

Early morning tea/coffee or hot chocolate then depart for a morning game drive. Breakfast will be served at the camp, depart by road to Nairobi with game viewing en-route. Lunch will be served en route. After lunch, transfer to Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international departure flight with Africa Safari memories which will last forever.
